Blueberry-Ginger Smoothie

I have a smoothie every morning for breakfast.  I came up with this recipe when I was getting a little tired of my usual green smoothies.  The blueberries add so much sweetness and the ginger gives it that zing.  Enjoy!
Ingredients
  • handful leafy greens
  • 1/2 or 1 frozen banana
  • small piece of ginger
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 scoop protein powder** optional
  • water or non-dairy milk
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in your blender and away you go.  Add as much or as little water as you need
Recipe Notes

** For this smoothie I try to use a natural flavoured protein powder, as any flavoured powder will change the taste
