Perfect Homemade Kale Chips

So here’s the thing – I’m not the biggest fan of raw kale. I know it’s super healthy and trendy, but it’s not the first leafy green I choose when making a salad. I do, however, absolutely LOVE kale chips. I’ve made these a few times when friends have come over and they are always a hit. These kale chips are super crunchy and hold up well. Plus they are so versatile; you can use any spice combo you like.

Here’s how I make perfect homemade kale chips:

  • wash a de-stem your kale (I take a knife and carefully cut out the thicker stems)
  • rip into medium-sized pieces – they will shrink in the oven
  • spray with olive oil, avocado oil or coconut oil… the choice is yours 🙂
  • sprinkle with sea salt (or try turmeric, curry powder, za’atar spice)
  • bake in a 350 oven for about 10-15 minutes, flipping them halfway
  • you have to watch them in the oven because they burn easily

And that’s it! So easy and so delicious. Enjoy

xoxo Kells
