Oak milk is all the rage these days. It offers a great alternative to any nut milks for those who have to avoid them. Oat milk is super easy to make. You can keep it super simple or add in some flavours like cinnamon. I like to keep mine plain so that I can use it in both savoury and sweet recipes. It makes a great latte and I’ve used it to make a healthier chicken alfredo dinner.
Ingredients:
- One cup rolled oats
- 3-4 cups of water (depending on how much you want and how creamy you want it)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients into a high powered blender
- Blitz up until just blended (about 30 seconds, or so)
- Strain either through a fine mesh strainer or a nut-milk bag and enjoy
**you can add in any of the below to jazz it up:
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- dash of cinnamon
- 1-2 medjool dates, pitted
Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think of it 🙂
