Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this rich and decadent dessert will have you and your love feeling all warm and tingly. You can get this made and in the freezer before dinner, so it’s ready for dessert. The cacao butter makes this bark super rich, so a little will go a long way when sharing 😊
** The bark is susceptible to room temperatures and the heat from our hands. It’s best to enjoy immediately once you’ve removed it from the freezer (or just brake off a small piece at a time).
Ingredients:
- 50 grams cacao butter
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/3 cup cacao powder
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg about a pinch or so
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
Instructions:
-
In a double boiler, on low heat, melt the cacao butter and coconut oil
-
Whisk in the cacao powder and maple syrup until combined
-
Transfer to a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch thick
-
Sprinkle the walnuts on top
-
Place in the freezer for at least two hours, break apart and enjoy
Okay wow this looks so good!
